August Specials -things to see you through Winter

We are laying on the comfort food to make the most of this final month of Winter. Our freezer is stocked with your favourite soups & ragus and our sweet fridge is full of tarts and cakes - and don't forget our Hot Pies & Pasties are available for convenient, wholesome lunches.

PS On Sunday I'll be sending around another newsletter about a new project we've been working on and are getting ready to launch. It's called My Teen Cooks and it's a program all about teaching teens to cook and making mealtimes less stressful- we look forward to telling you more.

Pork, Apple & Fennel Sausage Rolls

A delicious new gluten-free cake made with hazelnut & almond meal plus dark chocolate, golden syrup and olive oil - rich, dark and keeps well. They are being made in 2 sizes - our regular large cake size and a very cute smaller cake that makes a perfect companion for your morning tea.

August means we make our special kimchi pork pies - the classic Korean fermented veg is a wonderful compliment to our traditional pork pies. They can be eaten hot or cold - so try them if you're hiking or watching the footy or with your weekend platters.

Due to their popularity - the sausage rolls are staying around for a little bit longer. We'll even be taking some with us to the Woodend Farmers' Market on Sat 1st August.

SWEET BUNS OF BRITAIN COOKING CLASS

Sat 15th August 10.30-12.30

A wonderful 2 hour hands on class that will help build your confidence baking with yeast. We will share 2 recipes - a classic spiced Currant Bun and Devonshire Split - that you fill with jam and cream.

This class is part of our new series of Best of British Sweet Baking - more details below.

Class includes, recipes, take home goods and a nice hot cuppa with a lovely bun.

We are very excited to release our new series of classes - Best of British Baking. These will be 2 hour hands on classes, with a single British baked specialty at the heart of the class with plenty of tips and variations to use these time honored recipes time and time again.
